By default, there are different modes available in the Netgear Arlo camera you can switch between. These modes vary according to your current location whether you are at home or away from it. However, if you want to create or customize the mode on your Arlo Pro camera, then read the steps mentioned here as under:
By default, there are four different modes available named Schedule, Disarmed, Armed and Geofencing. However, you can’t record the motion with these modes without receiving alerts but you can customize these modes to start recording any motion if detected and switch between the receiving alerts if not interested in receiving them. This is where you can create a new mode or customize the existing according to your choice.
• To begin with, open the Arlo app and click on the ‘Mode’ from the bottom of the screen.
• Select ‘Arlo’ base station from ‘My devices’.
• From here, click on the ‘Pencil’ given to edit the existing mode or click on ‘Add a new mode’ to create a new mode. The steps to create a new mode are discussed in the coming up steps.
• Enter the name of the new mode and click ‘Next’ from the top-right corner of the screen.
• Enter the name of the camera you want to include in the list and press ‘Next’.
• On the next screen, you will find two ways to activate the camera. When any motion is detected or when the audio is detected. You can select any one out of the two or even select both.
• You can adjust the sensitivity of your camera using the slider switch. Press ‘Next’ when you are done.
• Press ‘Next’ again.
• From the next screen, you will be prompted to select further options like what do you want to get done from the camera and do you like to enable the siren sound or not.
• Press ‘Next’.
• Select the duration for which you want to record the video from the camera. You can record until the motion stops or for the fixed time period.
• Press ‘Next’.
• Click to select the way of receiving the alerts either via push notifications or email. You can even stop receiving the notifications by deselecting the option.
• On the final screen, you will find the overview of settings you have done for a particular mode. Click ‘Save’ to apply the changes.
• The new custom mode will appear in the list. Select to enable it.
• Now, you can select any mode of your choice whenever you want, depending on the recording you want to save or not.
In this manner, you can edit or create a new mode on the Netgear Arlo camera. We hope you must have understood the steps.
